Position:  Grounds Crew Member – Competitive Wages based experience

Reports to: Superintendent first, Owners second

Job Description: Participates in all aspects required for golf course maintenance.  Has the ability to work within a team as well as unsupervised.  Must be capable of shift starts as early as 5:00am during high season.  Must be able to bring energy and a great work ethic to the team. The successful candidate will be an integral part of a small maintenance crew with a range of responsibilities that will further develop their skills & experience in the golf maintenance industry.

This is a full-time seasonal position typically from March to October. (weather dependent)

Responsibilities & Duties

• Is enthusiastic with an eagerness to learn
• Maintains basic machinery upkeep. Prestart checks & basic fault-finding training provided
• Daily mowing on a variety of machines.  Training provided
• Golf course set up, hole changing, tee setting
• Health & safety awareness & participation
• Workshop upkeep
• Pleasant & respectful towards customers, members & coworkers on the course, driving range & clubhouse
• Potential for Irrigation maintenance. Training provided to the right candidate
• Fertilizer & seed applications
• Renovations from small sod repairs to full Tee Box re-builds
• Mower set-ups for height & quality of cuts.  Training provided

Qualifications:

Ideal candidate would have related qualifications for this position. However the level of commitment & enthusiasm to meet the requirements of this position will be of high priority.
